Udapa renews its collaboration with Alboan to continue promoting agricultural cooperatives in Congo
For another year Udapa will continue to contribute to the improvement of the management and production of local cooperatives in the Congo thanks to the renewal of its collaboration with the NGO Alboan. The cooperative from Alava, which has been collaborating in this project since 2011, aims to improve the living conditions of the population of Kisantu.
The participating cooperatives are currently carrying out a process of transformation of sesame, with the aim of adding value to their production and generating income that will contribute to the economic sustainability of the project. In addition to economic development, this project also takes into account other aspects that guarantee the development of the territory, such as health, gender equality, education and training, environmental sustainability and education in values.
By renewing this alliance, Udapa and Alboan are reinforcing their commitment to contribute to a more just and equitable world. Furthermore, this is not the only project in which the Alava-based cooperative is collaborating in the African country, as it is also supporting the Lutondo livestock farming project promoted by the Basque Jesuit Alejandro Aldanondo.
